Terms and Conditions of Trading
Mark Holyoak Window Cleaning Services will be referred to as mhwindowcleaning throughout our Terms and Conditions.
1. By accepting our quotation you agree to be bound by mhwindowcleaning terms and conditions.
2. By booking our services, you accept our terms and conditions of trading.
All goods and services shall remain the property of mhwindowcleaning until paid for in full.
If you wish to postpone our services you must provide at least 72 hours’ notice before the next scheduled date. Failure to do so will result in a 50% charge.
You agree to give 1 month’ written notice as a commercial client or 1 month’ written notice as a residential customer of termination of services. Failure to do so will result in a 100% charge for any work scheduled within this period. If, as a commercial client, your contract with us runs to a specific date, and not on an ongoing basis, cancellation of our services will cost the full remaining contract value.
If we have arrived to work, then we can not accept a postponement, unless work is being carried out to the property/premises. A 50% charge will be payable for failing to give 72 hours’ notice of postponement or a 100% charge for cancellations.
All quotations are based upon agreed frequencies. Should you break this agreement by postponements to this service for 2 cleans after being told in a text message, once service is re-established, the first clean can carry a 50% charge. For example, if you are a residential customer that agreed to a four-weekly all-year round service and you choose to postpone the cleaning for 8 weeks which is two cleans, on week 12 you will be charged 50% for the first re-clean, once the service is re-established.
Ie Say your house is £10.00 to clean then you miss 2 cleans you will be charged £15.00 for the first re-clean, once the service is re-established
We will endeavour to clean all windows, but if we deem any window/s to be inaccessible or unsafe to clean, we will not clean them.
If you wish to cancel your window cleaning service with the company we require that you give 1 month notice from your last clean in writing, text, telephone call or email us on the website
3. Our minimum contract is 12 months for domestic cleaning However, if you terminate our services after only one clean you agree to pay the 12 months worth and we will automatically renew your 12 months contract each year with the company unless 1 months notice in writing is provided.
i e £10.00 per 4 weekly clean = £130.00 the one off price

5. If you cancel mhwindowcleaning services on the day of your scheduled clean/upon arrival at your property then mhwindowcleaning reserve the right to charge 50% of the total price payable for your clean.
Cannot be held responsible for cancelled or delayed cleaning due to unforeseen circumstances, vehicle breakdowns, severe weather or other causes beyond our control.
6. To clean windows at the rear of your property mhwindowcleaning operatives need to have access, therefore your gate/garage should be unlocked. Please supply us with your phone number so mhwindowcleaning can ring or send a text the night before a clean. If mhwindowcleaning operatives cannot get access to the rear of the property they will only clean what is accessible from the front of your property and 75% of price total price payable for your clean will be charged.
7. mhwindowcleaning operates 52 weeks per annum therefore mhwindowcleaning may clean your windows during inclement weather. mhwindowcleaning reserves the right to decide if the window cleaning services should be carried out or abandoned. Rain does not affect the quality of your clean. If you or your representative request our operatives cease cleaning prior to commencing, mhwindowcleaning reserves the right to charge 50% of the total amount payable for your clean.
Will take all reasonable precautions and care not to damage the windows but cannot be held responsible for flaking paint, damage to decaying windows, unusually brittle or damaged glass or loose leading in windows.
Will not be responsible for the removal of paint, concrete, mortar or other unusual airborne dirt from the windows
8. If you are not satisfied with our service or cleaning results please contact the mhwindowcleaning office within 48 hours from date of clean (07863 000 412) and also confirm your complaint in writing to our office via letter or e-mail. An operative will respond and rectify the issue to your satisfaction within 48 hours. If any complaint is proven to not be as a result of our service provided, mhwindowcleaning reserves the right to charge a call out charge of £10. mhwindowcleaning does not accept responsibility for any complaints that are made after 48 hours from date of initial clean. It is your responsibility to ensure mhwindowcleaning acknowledges your complaint and that you obtain a reference number relating to your complaint.
9. In accordance with Health & Safety policy mhwindowcleaning request that all small children and pets are kept inside the property whilst our operatives are cleaning your windows. All items of garden furniture/household items/plant pots and any other obstacles should be away from the windows to allow reasonable access for mhwindowcleaning operatives to perform their duties. The area should be free from any kind of animal excrement.
10. mhwindowcleaning operatives will clean all windows where possible, however any windows that are inaccessible or unsafe will not be cleaned.
11. In the event of any accident mhwindowcleaning will instruct an Insurance Assessor to investigate the root cause of the accident. mhwindowcleaning will not accept liability for any accident deemed out of mhwindowcleaning control that has occurred as a result of fittings or glass already damaged arising from faulty construction, poorly maintained windows or conservatory roofs and the customer will be liable for any repair or out of pocket expenses.
12. mhwindowcleaning will not accept liability for water damage to the property or items within said property caused as a result of windows being left open prior to a clean or due to damaged windows or frames causing leakage into the property.
13. mhwindowcleaning and all mhwindowcleaning operatives are comprehensively insured under our Public Liability Insurance Policy.
14. Prior to commencing any work on Commercial Outlets a full Risk Assessment/Method Statement will be carried out and recorded in line with both mhwindowcleaning and the customers H&S Policies. Available to view on request.
15. Payment for mhwindowcleaning services must be made within 7 days from date of clean if you are paying by cheque. Making payment online must be done within 48 hours after the clean. Payment can be made either by Cash, Cheque, standing order or pay online from our website.
16.mhwindowcleaning reserves the right to charge a late payments fee of £10 which will be added to your account to compensate for fuel required to collect payment if we have to come to your house to collect the payment on domestic cleaning.

If payment exceeds 30 days a another late payment charge If after 45 days despite attempts to recover the outstanding amount due the account remains in arrears, mhwindowcleaning reserves the right to pass this account over to our legal department and to proceed with court action to recover all outstanding debts, legal costs and any added expense incurred with regards to this debt.
17. mhwindowcleaning collects data from our customers in the form of Name, Address, Telephone Numbers and Email Address. This information is strictly for the use of mhwindowcleaning for communication purposes. At no time will your data ever be sold or passed on to 3rd parties. We respect our customers’ privacy and this information is kept in line with data protection regulations at all times.
18. The Terms & Conditions of this agreement will be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
